As insane as this may sound, it’s so verytrue! Lady Gaga‘s album Born This Way, which just went on sale May 23, sold 1.11 million copies in just the first week. How crazy is that?! We’re guess just as crazy as Gaga herself.
So what exactly could have been the reason Gaga’s album sales were so high?
Not sure if any you little monsters knew, but Gaga’s album was selling for only 99 cents on Amazon. So our guess is this helped sales really sky rocket! Plus, there was so much press surrounding the album’s release that you basically had to be living under a rock if you didn’t know the album was coming out.
Oh and FYI, an album hasn’t sold this many copies since 50 Cent’s The Massacre in 2005. Not even Taylor Swift‘s Speak Now(which sold 1.05 in its debut week) topped Gaga!
