Vampire Diaries Season 3 Predictions: Will Delena Make It Official?

TVD Season 2 ended with Elena surprising Damon (and us) with a soft kiss. We never took Elena for a “brother lover”–the kind of girl who toys with two siblings’ hearts–but we know that her intentions weren’t malicious. Elena, simply put, was sucked into the moment as Damon clung on to dear life. Ergo…kiss!
But, was their “As I Lay Dying” lip lock an actual sampling of what’s to come in TVD Season 3? According to the CW, we should expect big changes forDelena:

“As Stefan sinks deeper into the dark side, Damon and Elena struggle with the guilt of their growing bond even as they work together to bring Stefan back from the edge.”
