Katy Perry may be taking the music world by storm right now with hits like E.T. and Firework, but a longtime dream of the singer has been to break-out into the acting world -- and she just might get her wish.
The best part is - she'll get to do it alongside hubby Russell Brand! Perry is voicing Smurfette in the upcomingSmurfs film, and now she is reportedly in talks to co-star with Brand in his newest movie, where she will get to play his wife on-screen, too!
Right now there aren't many details about the film besides and it still remains untitled, but a movie insider has revealed some info about how Katy got involved.
"This is a project Russell has had lined up for a while, but the right female co-star has yet to be found," the insider explained. "She wants to break into movies and the chance to spend time with Russell and dispel all these [break-up] rumors might be too good to turn down."
Recently, rumors have been swirling that Katy and Russell's seemingly happy relationship is on the rocks, but it looks like the couple is trying to squash that rumor by proving that they can spend time together on a movie set without having any problems.
However, for now at least, Katy is continuing her big California Dreams tour, so the acting will have to wait for just a bit!
