Who’s “Chace-ing” you, Nate?
Someone alert Ed Westwick! Or evenPenn Badgley! Someone’s trying to pose as leading actor of Gossip Girl. Oh wait, that someone isChace Crawford.Yikes!
As Vulture reports, Crawford has submitted himself for consideration for a lead actor Emmy nod. Really. The man who puts the sexy in swooshy bangs was — though we love him so — hardly a standout this TV season, let alone amazing enough to be considered for an Emmy. In the lead actor category no less!
Too harsh? Well maybe it should’ve been a sign when neither Blake Lively nor Penn nor Ed submitted themselves for any consideration. Leighton Meester is the only other castmember who threw her hat in the Lead Actress category ring. But ifGossip Girl ever had a chance at an Emmy, it would make sense for Leighton to be considered since the show is essentially about Blair. But Chace? Mr. Monotone? C’mon.
Did we mention that we love him? But seriously. Who are you, Chace?
