Beckett finally gets some answers on her mother's murder, which means emotions are running high in 3.13 "Knockdown." This is the episode where Beckett and Castle finally kiss!
Original air date: January 24th, 2011
Good news for Castle fans! Not only can we catch Castle reruns onSunday nights on ABC throughout the summer beginning June 19 (in a slightly earlier timeslot at 9 p.m. ET), basic cable channel TNT has also picked up Castle repeats as part of its summer programming.

Even better? Castle will be part of TNT’s TV Everywhere project, meaning you’ll also be able to pick up Castle eppys online, on your phone and on loads of other technological, Nathan Fillion-approved devices. Um, score!

BTW, we gotta tell you, Castle was picked up by the network right after it was announced Hawaii Five-0 — Castle’s Monday night timeslot competitor — will be joining TNT’s lineup in 2014.

Is this TNT’s coy way of trying to squash the beef between the two shows? We don’t know, but we’re excited either way!

The captain was a father figure, but also a pal. Remember when he joined in on a rousing rendition of "Piano Man"?
We knew somebody was gonna have to come in to man the 12th precinct now that Captain Montgomery is six feet under, and now TV Line’sMichael Ausiello confirms it’s will actually be a wo-man taking over the NYPD come fall. That’s right, there’s a new tough girl in town!

How does this make you feel, Castle fans? Psyched for the inevitable workplace drama, or just nervous that Richard Castle might develop a wandering eye right when things are getting good between himself andBeckett? Oh, the possibilities!
So, who should be cast to play the new captain? Give us your suggestions on our Facebook page!

What Happens When Johanna Beckett's Murder Is

Solved?

He couldn't save Johanna Beckett, so he made sure to do right by her daughter. Ugh. Devastating.
The Johanna Beckett murder case is being carried over Season 4, and we're guessing it will be the last hurrah for this narrative arc. So then what happens?

We've written before how the JB mystery is strangely parallel to theCastle and Beckett romance. It's the one case that can't be solved too quickly and the one relationship that can't start too soon. In the finale, however, big moves were made on both fronts. Montgomery revealed his involvement with the case that's tormented Beckett, and Castle dropped the long-awaited "I love you." What goes on between Caskett is a whole universe unto itself, but it's interesting to think about what will become of the show once the other major storyline is resolved.

Obviously, not every episode has made mention of Beckett's mom, and we're sure the writers will continue to hold our interest with new plot developments. But this mystery has been part of the show since the very beginning. Johanna Beckett is, without a doubt, one of the most integral characters on Castle. This would be a second death of sorts. Deeeeeep.
