Lucy Hale is building her fame fast with her starring role in the hit show Pretty Little Liars and she even made a big screen appearance in the much anticipated Scream 4, but that doesn't mean everyone recognizes her just yet!
In fact, Hale revealed via her Twitter page that she was recently mistaken for Selena Gomez by a Justin Bieber fan, and the experience wasn't too pleasant!
"Someone was seriously convinced I was Selena Gomez today and tried to take my phone because they wanted to call Justin Beiber," she tweeted. "Ohh life."
We can definitely see the resemblance, especially at first glance, but this fan seemed to be convinced!
Lucy has been busy lately filming the upcoming season of Pretty Little Liars and also promoting Scream 4. In fact, during a recent interview with MTV the 21 year old star revealed that she actually landed her role in Scream 4 because of her acting on the ABC Family show.
"It's funny, one of the producers [of Scream 4], his wife was a huge fan of Pretty Little Liars," Lucy explained. "She was like 'You should watch this show and see if you like any of these young actresses.' And they called up my representation and they were like, 'We think she's great. We'd like to meet her and maybe make her part of the movie.'"
In fact, Hale was actually supposed to have a much bigger role in the flick than she did, but because of her busy schedule with Pretty Little Liars it didn't work out.
"It was the role Brittany Robertson got in the film," Lucy said, of the part she originally tried out for. "And she sort of has a bigger role throughout the movie. I'm glad I still got to be a part of it!"
