We all know that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are close... it’s just not clear how close. The two have been guilty of a some ambiguous PDA but usually take care to appear as “just friends” whenout in public together. There still isn’t any solid proof that they’re a couple, but the latest eyebrow-raising piece of evidence comes in the form of a newsboy cap.

Do these two share the same taste or the same hat?
Ian sported it first, wearing it to the premiere of Last Night at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 25, 2011 — incidentally, an event that Nina also attended. Two days later, she was spotted wearing the cap as she left CW Studios. Sure, it’s possible that both own the exact same hat, but we prefer another conclusion. With both of them staying in New York over the last few days, perhaps they’ve been sharing more than just clothes!
