Glee Spoilers! Who Will Be Named Prom Queen in "Born This Way"?

Lauren Zizes for prom queen? The rebellious glee clubber isn't your typical fan of popularity contests and pageantry, but according to a new Fox press release, she’ll emerge as a leading contender for the crown. No one is immune to prom fever!

That’s right — the race for prom queen will go down to the wire during “Born This Way,” set to air April 26, with Lauren and Quinn involved in a fierce competition to win the title. A word of advice for Quinn: After seeing the way Lauren slid Santana across the hallway floor in their epic fight inEpisode 12, “Silly Love Songs,” we’d try to not get on Lauren’s bad side. Just a tip.

If you couldn’t guess from the not-so-subtle title, this will also be the episode when New Directions performs the highly anticipated version of Lady Gaga’s newest smash hit, “Born This Way.” Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) will use Lady Gaga’s music to teach the kids about “self-acceptance and embracing what makes you unique.” No word yet on whether he’ll also encourage them to start buying their clothes at a butcher shop.

Fox promises that Rachel (Lea Michele) will have to make a “life-altering decision.” The suspense! Then again, doesn’t Rachel pretty much treat everything like it’s a life-altering decision?

Okay, so that Rachel clue doesn’t really tell us much, but we do know a little bit more about a few other storylines. Emma (Jayma Mays) will start coming to terms with her obsessiveness — to which we say, “It’s about freakin’ time!” And Santana engineers a scheme that will shatter glee’s current dynamic. (That girl really loves to scheme, doesn’t she?)

Talk about a crazy episode! In fact, it’s no wonder that with so much to pack in, “Born This Way” will be an extra-long 90-minute extravaganza! After having gone what feels like a decade without a new Glee episode, we feel like we deserve the extra half-hour. The more, the merrier!
