Matthew Morrison Lands First Lead Movie Role

Glee star Matthew Morrison is going to make his big screen debut starring alongside Cameron Diaz in the upcoming comedy What to Expect When You're Expecting.

The studio made the announcement that Morrison will be playing the role of Evan, who is paired with Jules (Diaz) on a celebrity dance show. The two fall in love and have to figure out how to make their bi-coastal relationship work.

The remainder of the cast includes, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick, Chase Crawford and Rob Huebel.

The film is based on Heidi Murkoff's pregnancy manual and is being directed by Kirk Jones. What to Expect When You're Expecting is scheduled to hit theaters Mother's Day Weekend 2012.
