Like, did you hear this week's juicy nugget about Emma Robertsand Chord Overstreet making out at Coachella? Or that Scarlett Johansson is moving in with Sean Penn?
The rumor mill is great at creating buzz, but there's no real proof out there -- until things get serious enough for the star to finally cave and issue some sort of "We're happy and taking things slow" comment. So, in the meantime, the rumors and eyewitness reports are our only clues.
Here's a rundown of the hottest alleged romances of the moment:
1a. Ashley Greene and Jared Followill
Not long after the Twilight actress and her JoBro Joe Jonascalled it quits, there was much speculation about her and Kings of Leon rocker Jared Followill. In mid-March these two were seen hanging out until the wee hours of the morning in NYC, and, naturally, the romance rumors flourished. Since then, the hype has died and transferred to Ashley and her Twilight co-star Jackson Rathbone.
1b. Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone
Rathbone and Green have been getting close lately, but of course they're close, they're co-stars -- and an onscreen item. Still, the dating buzz has been spreading like mad since they've been spending more time together and even walked arm-in-arm at one point this week. Will these two be the next Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart? Hopefully there's not enough room in the rumored romance world...
2. Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford
Carey and this Mumford and Sons rocker would make an adorable couple, so we hope the buzz is true and they've been quietly dating since February. The Daily Mail reports the Brits met a few months back at one of Mumford's concerts and had instant chemistry. They apparently had dinner after the show and have been smitten since. An insider says they've been spending a lot of time at Mumford's London home, but they've never been photographed together. That's not a good sign.
3. Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn

ScarJo and her much-older man have been seen on jogs, were photographed at a romantic dinner, showed up atReese Witherspoon's wedding together, etc. The evidence is overwhelming, in other words. We're less inclined to believe that they're moving in together so soon (the ink's hardly dry on the actress' divorce), but there's enough semi-legitimate evidence to suggest they're actually dating. Scarlett is never forthcoming about the details of her personal life, so we doubt there will be any real confirmation until something major goes down.
4. Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson
Here's another potential co-star couple. Vanessa and Josh star in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, but have been spending an awful lot of time together outside of the set. First they cut a rug all night at an Oscars after party, then they most recently spent the weekend together at Coachella. Vanessa and Josh were photographed together on multiple occasions at the festival, though they never got too cozy. The actress said about him at the end of March: "Aww, I love him. We just did a movie together and we had the best time." BFFs or new BF? Tough call.
5. Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet
What happens when a Scream 4 hottie meets a Glee hottie? Lots of making out, we hear. Emma and Chord reportedly met at Coachella over the weekend and swapped spit before the night was over. We're not ready to believe these two are dating just yet -- especially since Chord has been linked to multiple gals over the last few months. He and Taylor Swift hung out at a hockey game in February, and he was reportedly dating Naya Rivera before that.
