Every good chaperone should ask high school girls to dance... right? Maybe only when they look like Damon.
We all know Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. Her strong-willed nature makes the Bulgarian brunette, for lack of a better term, a big pain in the you-know-what. She’s a tough one to trust, but it’s hard to deny sometimes we see a glimmer of goodness in there. We don’t blame her. We hear that humanity thing is hard to kick.

But there’s at least one Mystic Falls resident who refuses to acknowledge Katherine’s good side: Damon Salvatore. The two have had a rough go of it over the past few hundred years, and when Katherine tried to weasel her way back under Damon’s sheets, he pushed her away. Literally. And given that Damon is desperately in love with his brother’s girlfriend and usually willing to suck face (or necks?) with anything that moves, that’s gotta sting. "It's a low blow if Damon is shutting you out," Nina Dobrev tells Zap2It, laughing. "Damon, at this point, is basically going for anything he can get.” (Hear that, Andie Star?)

But what’s a bruised ego for centuries-old vampiress Katerina? Not much. Nina says she’ll surely recover — and quick. "When she gets rejected, she wants it even more," Nina says. "It's the want-what-I-can't-have syndrome. It makes the dynamic with Katherine and Damon a little bit more interesting because all of a sudden he doesn't want her anymore. It's kind of like 'Oh, you don't want me? I'm going to make you want me.' It heightens the love triangle even more between those three."

While we don’t know if the third here is Elena or Stefan, we have to agree we love the love triangles. All of them. What fun would a sexy, lustful vampire show be if everybody was happily coupled up all the time anyway?
