Miley Cyrus Is Officially Back On Twitter, And I’m Not Sure How I Feel About It

Does it bother anyone else that Miley Cyrus is officially back on Twitter? Not that we mind hearing about the former Disney star, but are we the only ones that remember her throwing a tantrum about how bad the social networking site was back in late 2009? Here, we’ll refresh your memory with just one quote from Miley about Twitter:

I am doing so much better now without Twitter. I think Twitter should be banned from this universe. People want to know everything, but you need to get out and be healthy and be in the world instead of crouching over a website all the time. All I did in my time off was lie in bed on my computer and sit in bed and eat ice cream and just lay there late at night. I ended up not living my life and saying things that are really no one else’s business. I’m not really a big fan of the Internet anymore. I don’t really go online anymore.

When Miley left Twitter in October 2009 she had 2 million followers. Now, Miley is back on the site trying to reach 1 million all over again.

Miley’s return to Twitter started off slow – with the star Tweeting photos and messages first from her “Hannah Montana” co-stars accounts. Then she reappeared suddenly on theRock Mafia Twitter account sending out Tweets to fans and growing that Twitter handle’s followers rapidly. Here’s just one Tweet:

Wanted to make it clear I’M NOT rejoining twitter. Im only using it when with RM writing! Fans are the best way to get inspired. love u xMC

Wanted to make it clear she wasn’t rejoining Twitter…yet, once Miley realized the response she was getting she quickly created an account to promote her upcoming international Gypsy Heart Tour – most likely in order to sell more tickets to the shows. And, as of April 5, 2011 the @GypsyHeartTour Twitter has officially changed over to Miley’s old Twitter account @MileyCyrus. So, that would be Miley rejoining Twitter…right?

Again, we’re not upset that Miley is back on Twitter. We’re just having a hard time understanding how she could be so adamant about what a horrible site it is only to come back now that her fame is slightly dwindling and flooding our Twitter news feed with photos of herself along with enough information about what she’s doing on a daily basis so that we feel like spend all day with her.
