When you take two undeniably hot co-stars and add in the kind of electricity that we see betweenNina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, it’s no wonder that everyone wants to see them together IRL. Hot on the heels of their time together at Coachella, they attended the premiere of Last Night at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 25, 2011. Although they didn’t walk the red carpet together, we’re going to go ahead and say it’s no coincidence that they were both there.
We get that office romances are sometimes a little awkward to make public. But come on! We have a million reasons why it’s so obvious that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are more than just friends. And we just might have another to add to the list: A sneaky fan claims to have snapped some photos of the pair linking arms in NYC (check out the video below), where they’re both in town for the CW Upfront on May 19.

Not to go all Sherlock Holmes here, but we’ve seen Nina in that hat before. Heck, we’ve seen Ian in that hat before. (Yep, we find that pretty suspicious, too.) But we all know Ian has quite a collection of hats. In fact, he wore one eerily similar to the one sported by the Ian lookalike backduring the Kentucky Derby. Basically, if these two are trying to go incognito, they need to get some new head wear.

So what are your thoughts, Wetpainters? Have we just spotted a couple of Ian and Nina dopplegangers, or are the TVD stars pursuing an off-screen romance?

Hmm. They certainly dress like Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. They certainly cuddle up together like the Vampire Diaries stars. But are these photos

Kevin Williamson Dishes Major Season 3 Scoop: "Klaus

 Took Stefan for a Reason"

Stefan and Elena share a serious moment in the town square.
A lot of jaw-dropping stuff happened during last week’s season finale, but we really couldn’t believe it when we saw the return of two (supposedly) dead females, Vicki and Anna, right at the ep’s end. Now our minds can’t stop reeling. Why can Jeremy seen them? How long will they stay? And how will poor Jeremy handle it all?

TVD producer Kevin Williamson chatted with the New York Post about this season’s shocking cliffhanger, including what inspired him to dig up old characters. He also offered a little insight into what fans can expect next season from our favorite characters, from Vicki and Jeremy toDamon and Elena.

First off, Williamson says the Anna and Vicki storyline had one motivation: to get Kayla Ewell, who played Vicki, back on set. “I just loved her. When we made the decision to kill Vicki, it wasn’t an easy one,” he says. As for the haunting? It was always an idea in Williamson’s repertoire, but “after all the witchy-woo-woo of this year,” he thought the audience would finally buy it. And yes, Williamson does use the word “haunting” to describe what’s happening to the youngest Gilbert, but says he wouldn’t call Vicki and Anna ghosts, per se. “But if you are thinking ghosts, that is the appropriate place to start,” he says. Well, good. ‘Cause we are.

But spirit visitors aren’t the only supernatural beings fans should be interested in. Let us not forget Stefan has sort of run away with the baddest vamp of all time. “...We have a huge twist already planned for the first episode with them that explains why Klaus was so interested in Stefan,” he says. “There’s another element to Klaus and what he’s about that you don’t know yet.” We’re so not surprised. He adds: “We’re going to find out who [the Originals] are, what they’re about, how The Salvatores are intertwined with them — Klaus took Stefan for a reason.”

And let us also not forget that with Stefan gone, it opens up a whole lotta possibilities for Damon and Elena’s relationship. “After two seasons of loving [Elena] as a strong female figure, I think the audience will now finally hopefully be receptive seeing her buy into what Katherine said, that it’s okay for Elena to love both Stefan and Damon,” Williamson teases.

Is it just us, or is Williamson really making it sound like Elena might break down and give into that steamy (and obvious) sexual tension she has with the older Salvatore? Can we get an O.M.G.? Maybe it’s time we re-nicknamed next season “The Season of Delena.”
