Kim Kardashian’s engagement to NBA boyfriend Kris Humphries came as a shock to just about everyone. Well, everyone except Momager Kris Jenner, of course.
Yup, Humphries went all old-fashioned and made sure he told Mama K-Dash about his plans to pop the question before doing the deed. "I knew it was going to happen because he had shared that with me. So I had a dinner right after," Jenner told Us Weekly.
As for the rest of the sisters K? They were completely clueless.
"None of [the rest of] us knew," Khloe said. "We were all sitting there like, 'Kim is so late for dinner and we're starving.' And we're like, 'Where the hell is Kim?'"
Khloe continued: "Then she walked in, and we're like, 'Oh my God!' But we just thought we were going to a family dinner."
Sister Khloe — who exchanged nuptials with NBA stud Lamar Odom after only a month of dating — is the only married Kardashian sister. Although Kim has already followed in Khlo’s foosteps by snagging an athlete of her own, Khloe hopes her older sis doesn’t rush into marriage.
"That's where Hollywood is so weird," Khloe said. "She just got engaged. Now people are like, 'Oh my God, where's she getting married?' Most engagements are typically a year… No one has discussed it yet. We're happy that they're engaged."
What does older sister Kourtney – who has had her own share of relationship ups and downs with baby daddy Scott Disick – think of Kim’s new fiance? "I think [when I saw] how happy he makes Kim. She's always smiling. There is a different happiness about her. Her priorities are more right with him. He grounds her in a way,” Kourtney said.
"It's very natural," Khloe added.

Yes, it’s true: Celebutante Kim Kardashian is getting hitched, and in keeping with her family’s over-the-top public image, she wants one helluva huge ceremony to celebrate.
“[Kim’s wedding] has to be the most fabulous event ever,” one source toldRadarOnline. “She wants to have the biggest ring, she wants a huge wedding, close to 1,000 people.”
Well, Kim can cross the “biggest ring” off her list now that fiance Kris has gifted her with a 20.5-carat engagement ring. As for the big wedding? There’s already speculation about the guest list, who will most likely include a few big-name stars, from pop icons Justin Bieber and Kanye West to TV and radio host Ryan Seacrest. Just to name a few.
While it’s hard not to be skeptical of Hollywood hitches, a source close to Kim said this pairing is for real: “She knows Kris is the one and can't wait to be his wife. It's already a done deal, and they both know it."
Now all they need is a multimillion-dollar ceremony to prove it!
